Customizing Built-in Contact Templates

By logging into the Elvanto Admin dashboard, users can access a range of pre-designed templates tailored for various communication needs. From scheduling reminders to group leader notifications, these templates streamline the process of crafting messages.

How to edit your Built-in Contact Templates

  1. Log into the Elvanto Admin dashboard as Super Admin or a user with access to Built-in Contact Templates.
  2. Select Settings > Built-in Contact Templates.
  3. Choose from the list of availability email and SMS templates and select the template you would like to edit. All templates are organized by categories.
  4. Each template will state a short usage description and whether it can be sent by email, SMS, or both. See example below:
  5. Select the template you wish to customize. Adjust the subject line and message. Emails will allow you to insert images as well. Use any of our placeholders as needed. Only the placeholder fields shown on that template’s sidebar (usually listed in gray) are supported for that specific template. Any placeholders that aren’t listed there, including those from other templates, won’t work in your message, even if you add them manually. If you try to use an unsupported placeholder, it simply won’t populate or display correctly in the message your volunteers receive.
  6.  Lastly, click 'Save' or 'Restore Default Template' at the bottom of the page.
