To comply with email and anti spam laws, Elvanto will always include an unsubscribe link with all bulk emails. Similarly, SMS companies also provide a streamlined process for users to easily unsubscribe from any unwanted SMS. This article provides next steps for admins as well as recipient’s to manage their communication preferences in Elvanto.
Unsubscribing a Person From Bulk Texts and Emails for Admins
- Navigate to People > All People or select a specific People Category.
- Type the person’s name you wish to unsubscribe into the search bar.
- Select the profile and scroll to the Email Address and/or Mobile Number field(s).
- Deselect all applicable checkboxes to unsubscribe the person from receiving general emails, scheduling emails, general SMS, and/or scheduling SMS.
- Click save.
Unsubscribing From Bulk Texts and Emails as the Recipient
To unsubscribe from Emails:
- Navigate to a recent email you have received from your church or organization.
- Scroll to the bottom of the email to locate the unsubscribe link.
- Click the link (the unsubscribe survey will open in a new window).
- Let the admin know why you are choosing to unsubscribe by selecting one of the options below:
- Click “Yes, I would like to unsubscribe” to complete the unsubscribe process.
- Alternatively, you can also log into your Elvanto account:
- Navigate to your Profile.
- Select Communication Preferences.
- Update the types of Emails and SMS you would like to receive and click save.
To unsubscribe from SMS:
- From your device, locate the SMS message you have received from your church or organization.
- Reply with “stop”, "cancel", or "unsubscribe" to unsubscribe from any future SMS messages.
Note: Please contact your church’s or organization’s admin for any further assistance should the unsubscribe prompt not provide the desired outcome. - Alternatively, you can also log into your Elvanto account:
- Navigate to your Profile.
- Select Communication Preferences.
- Update the types of Emails and SMS you would like to receive and click save.
