How to View who Unsubscribed From Email or SMS

Communicating with your congregation or members is vital, and understanding their preferences is equally important. People may choose to unsubscribe from emails or SMS for various reasons, and being informed about these choices helps in managing and tailoring communication effectively. This article guides you through the steps to view who has unsubscribed from Emails and SMS sent via your account and how to set up notifications for each unsubscription.

How to View Who Has Unsubscribed

Note: We currently don’t support the view of unsubscribers from MailChimp within Elvanto. For MailChimp unsubscribes, please log into your MailChimp account and refer to their built-in reports.

  1. Log into Elvanto as an Admin.
  2. Select People and Reports.
  3. Select Unsubscribes from the list of reports.
  4. Filter the Report, choose to filter the report by date range, what they have unsubscribed from, people categories, demographics, and locations.
  5. Click the Generate button to view the list of individuals who have unsubscribed, according to the filters applied.

Setting Up Unsubscription Notifications

  1. Log into Elvanto as an Admin.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Locate and select People.
  4. Scroll down to the Email section.
  5. Add an email to the text field.
    Note: This email address will receive an email every time someone either registers or unregisters depending ono what field you add the email address to. 
  6. Select Save.

Being updated on who has unsubscribed from your communications allows you to refine your approach and respect the preferences of your audience. By following these simple steps, you can easily track unsubscribes within Elvanto and set up notifications to keep an admin informed in real-time.
