Inserting files into posts, pages, or emails follows the same approach. You can insert or attach an image or a document in various ways, but for documents, only the 'Insert Link' and 'Attach File' methods will work.
Inserting or Attaching a File
- Click on ‘Insert / Attach File’.
- Select the file link to be inserted or attached to the post, page, or email. To include a new file, click on the ‘Upload File’ button.
- Choose the display option for the file:
- Insert Link: A link will appear in the text editor. When the post is published, users can download the file/image by clicking on the link.
Note: For the link to navigate to a window outside of the app, click the menu item "target" when adding the link and select "New Window(_blank)" - Insert Image: This option is for images and allows you to embed the image into the text. When the post is published, users can view the image within the text.
- Note: This option is only available in emails if no lockdown options are applied to the image. If lockdowns are applied, the user will be treated as a guest and will not be able to see the image.
- Attach File: The file will be added as an attachment located underneath the post, page, or email.
- Note: If you use the ‘Upload file’ to attach a new file, it will be stored in your Files section, with no restrictions in place.
- Insert Link: A link will appear in the text editor. When the post is published, users can download the file/image by clicking on the link.
Inserting an Image from an External Website
-
Click on the Image icon in the text editor.
-
Paste the URL of the external image into the URL field.
- Note: It is highly recommended to link from a HTTPS version of images or videos from the web. This will load content over a secure connection and eliminate the possibility of warning messages about loading insecure content.
By following these steps, you can easily insert or attach files and images into your posts, pages, or emails, making your content more engaging and visually appealing.
