Creating a Group

Managing groups efficiently is a fundamental aspect of ensuring streamlined operations within Elvanto. Whether you're just starting out or making modifications, understanding how to create and edit groups can significantly improve your experience. This guide will walk you through the step-by-step process of creating a new group and editing its details.

How to Create a Group

  1. Log into Elvanto as an Admin.
    Note: Navigate to the admin area if you are logged into the member area.
  2. Select Groups.
  3. Select Add Group.
  4. Fill in the details for your new group. How to add groups to elvanto.png
    Note: Only a Name is required to create a group however adding more details allows you to utilize other features related to groups throughout Elvanto.
    A Group Start Date is also required whenever a group start time is assigned. Elvanto will automatically assign today's date if no start date is specified. 
  5. Select Save.


How to Edit Group Details

  1. Log into Elvanto as an Admin.
    Note: Navigate to the admin area if you are logged into the member area.
  2. Select Groups.
  3. Select the Group Name of the group you would like to edit.
  4. Select the Edit Tab.
  5. Make changes. 
  6. Select Save.

Elvanto Tip

We recommend restarting your Group in Elvanto annually. This practice helps maintain the integrity of your group data and ensures seamless access for both administrators and members. Over time, recurring events can accumulate data that may lead to technical issues. By starting a new group each year, you'll minimize the risk of data corruption and maintain optimal performance.
