Utilizing the group chat feature in Elvanto is a great way to communicate with your group and build community. When messaging your group members they will be notified by push notification on the Elvanto App and email. In this article, we'll go over how to send a message and edit group messaging settings.
Message Your Group
- Log into the Member Area of your Elvanto account.
- Select My Groups.
- Select the group you would like to message.
- Type a message in the Text Box.
- Select the Green Arrow to send your message.
Note: This will notify the entire group of your message via the Elvanto App or Email.

Once a user clicks on the mobile notification, it will take them directly to the message board/chat for the specific group. If the admin has removed the ability to reply the message composition box will not appear.
Edit Group Message Settings As An Admin
- Log into the Admin Area of your Elvanto account.
- Hover over Groups in the navigation menu.
- Select Categories.
- Select the Group Category you would like to edit.
- Scroll down to the Member Area of the page.
- Select your desired settings.
- Show groups in the Member Area.
- Allow all users to send messages or only group leaders.
- Message Style.
- Select Save to save your changes.
Edit Group Message Settings As A Member
- Log into your Elvanto account.
- Select My Groups.
- Select the group you would like to edit.
- Select Notifications.
- Select your notification preferences and how you would like to be notified. Elvanto can either send an email and/or a push notification to a mobile device to alert the user of each new chat message. Please note: you will need to download the Elvanto app if you choose mobile notifications.
- Select Save to save your settings.

Members will need to manage push notification settings from their mobile devices settings to ensure delivery.
