How to Reset a Password for a User in Elvanto

Required Permissions: You must be a Super Admin or an Admin with the appropriate permissions to view and edit people's profiles.
🚨 Important Security Note 🚨: Standard Admins cannot view or edit the login information for Super Admins. If you are trying to reset a password for a Super Admin (like a Lead Pastor), another Super Admin must perform the reset.
Password Requirements: If you are setting a temporary password, it must be at least 8 characters long, contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one non-alphanumeric character. No character may be repeated more than 2 times in a row.

Log in to Elvanto as a Super Admin or Admin.
Select People from the main navigation.
Search and Choose the Profile of the person you want to reset the password for.
Click on Account & Volunteering from the menu within their profile.
Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the login details section.
Determine how you want to handle the reset:
- To send a reset link: Leave the password fields blank. The member will be prompted to set their own password after clicking the link they receive.
- To set a temporary password: Type a temporary password into the fields that meets the security requirements listed above.
Tick the box next to Send these details by email.

8. Select Save.

Why can't I see the "Account & Volunteering" section for a specific user? If you are a standard Admin and the user you are trying to help is a Super Admin, you will not see this section. This restriction is by design to maintain security and ensure that only the highest-level administrators can manage critical account settings. Access to modify Super Admin credentials is limited strictly to other Super Admins.
