How to Automatically Send Reminders to Volunteers

Efficiently managing volunteer schedules is crucial for organizations, and automating reminders can streamline the process. To enable this feature, follow the steps below:

  1. To enable reminders to be sent automatically to volunteers, go to Settings > select Services > Volunteers.
  2. Scroll to the heading marked as ‘Volunteer Schedule Reminder’. Here you can choose to send either an Email, SMS or both, and how many days before a service they should be sent. You can add additional reminders by clicking the blue button below.
  3. To edit the email template, simply click on the link or by going to Settings > Built-in Contact Templates > select 'Volunteer Schedule Reminder' under Services & Volunteers.
  4. Automatic reminders are typically sent from your account's default sending email address. However, there are a couple of exceptions:

    Adding or removing a volunteer to an existing service: When you add or remove a volunteer to an existing service, the reminder email will be sent from the email address of the logged-in user.
