Enabling Family Unavailability Submissions in Elvanto

Facilitating Family Coordination for Church Events

Making it easier for families to manage their availability for church events and services can greatly enhance their experience with your organization. Elvanto offers a setting that allows a family member to mark the entire family as unavailable, streamlining the process for both your members and your administration team. Follow these steps to enable this feature:

  1. Navigate to Settings within your Elvanto dashboard.
  2. Select Roster under the Services category to access roster settings.
  3. Scroll down to find the Family Unavailability section.
  4. Activate the feature by ticking the box next to Allow Primary, Spouse, and Partner to submit unavailability for an entire family.

How It Works:

Once this feature is enabled, family members, specifically the primary contact, spouse, or partner, can easily indicate unavailability for the entire family in one simple step. When they go to the member area to submit their availability, the system will prompt them with an option to submit unavailability for their whole family. This ensures that scheduling reflects the availability of all family members, preventing conflicts and enhancing participation in church activities.

Tithely Tip

Ensure that the unavailability option is added to the member layout to allow families to submit their unavailability.

Benefits:

  • Efficiency: Reduces the need for multiple entries, saving time for both members and church administrators.
  • Convenience: Streamlines the process for families, making it easier to communicate their availability or unavailability for church events and services.
  • Accuracy: Ensures that scheduling and planning take into account the availability of the entire family, leading to more accurate and reliable event planning.

By enabling this setting, your church can provide a more accommodating and user-friendly experience for families, fostering a more inclusive and engaging community environment.
