How to Add, Edit, or Delete People Categories

In this article we will cover how to add, edit, and delete a people category. In our system, people categories are a powerful tool that allows your church to group and sort individuals according to your preferences. It's important to note that unlike a person’s status, categories are not directly related to pricing. Each person can only belong to one category and have one status at a time.

How to Add a People Category

  1. Log into Elvanto as a Super Admin or Admin with People Permissions.
  2. Hover over the People menu.
  3. Click Categories.
  4. Click Add in the upper right hand corner.
  5. Name the category and drag and drop you fields into the layout. 
  6. Click Save.

How to Edit a People Category

  1. Log into Elvanto a Super Admin or Admin with People Permissions.
  2. Hover over the People menu.
  3. Click Categories.
  4. Click on the Name of the Category you want to edit.
  5. Make any necessary edits to the category.
  6. Click Save.

How to Delete a People Category

  1. Log into Elvanto a Super Admin or Admin with People Permissions.
  2. Hover over the People menu.
  3. Click Categories.
  4. Click on the drop down menu next to the people category you want to delete.
  5. Click delete.
  6. Click confirm to delete the category.
  7. Choose what category you would like to move the profiles to.
  8. Click Delete.
