Billing and Subscriptions in Elvanto

Summary: At Tithely, we strive to make data migration and subscription management as painless as possible. This guide will help you manage your Elvanto account effectively, including updating billing details, changing plans or billing frequency, handling declined payments, and canceling your account.

Before You Begin

  • Permissions Required: Only people with explicit "access permissions to the billing" will see the Billing option in their profile area.

  • How Pricing is Calculated: Your subscription is based on the Active Adult Members in your account. You are not charged for profiles marked as Contact, Archived, or those designated in the Family Relationship as Child. We recommend selecting a plan that covers the number of active adults in your account.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Navigating to the Billing and Plan Page

All billing management takes place in the same central location.

  1. Log into your Elvanto Admin Area.

  2. Hover over your profile name in the top right corner of the page.

  3. When the drop-down box appears, scroll down and click on Billing. (Note: If you do not see this option, you do not have the required billing permissions).

Update Billing Contact Details

  1. Navigate to the Billing and Plan page.

  2. Locate your contact details and click the Edit option.

  3. Update the billing contact details. You can also add additional billing contacts here if desired.

Change Plans or Billing Frequency

  1. Navigate to the Billing and Plan page.

  2. Select Change Plan to upgrade or downgrade your account, or Change Frequency to switch between monthly and annual billing.

  3. Review the overview of your order and confirm the changes.

    • Upgrading: When you upgrade mid-cycle, we will prorate your previous plan. We calculate the time left in your current plan as a fraction, calculate the cost of the remaining time based on what you've already paid, and apply those unused funds to the new billing cycle.

    • Downgrading (Caution): Be sure to decrease the number of active profiles in your database before downgrading your plan. Otherwise, Elvanto will automatically deactivate profiles to fit within your new, lower account plan limit. You can follow these steps here to learn more. Should you need to locate which profiles were deactivated, you can follow these instructions to manually set individual profiles to active again.

Update Payment Details

  1. Navigate to the Billing and Plan page.

  2. At the bottom left of the page, select the Edit option to update your payment details.

View Past Invoices

  1. Navigate to the Billing and Plan page.

  2. Click View Past Invoices to access your historical billing records.

Cancel Your Account

  1. Navigate to the Billing and Plan page.

  2. Locate and click the Cancellation button to process your account cancellation.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • What payment methods are accepted? We accept Credit and Debit Cards branded with MasterCard, Visa, or American Express. (Note: Elvanto Legacy customers who are billed strictly through the legacy system, and not through Tithely Billing, can also make payments using PayPal).

  • Why is my payment being declined? If your card is declined, please contact your bank for clarification. Common reasons include incorrect card details, blocked international transactions, insufficient funds, or restrictions placed on debit cards.

  • I downgraded my plan and profiles are missing. What happened? If you downgrade your plan without manually reducing your active profile count first, the system automatically deactivates profiles to fit your new plan limit. You will need to manually locate those profiles and set them to active again (while ensuring you stay under your new limit).
