Demographic Progression Types
When setting up a Demographic, click to enable Demographic Progression for a demographic or a sub-demographic.
Choose the Demographic Progression Type you want to enable for your demographic or sub-demographic.
Development Based Demographics
Choose ‘Development Based’ from the dropdown menu.
Note: setting up a ‘Development Based’ demographic will need Admin area access to change their demographic manually when they move onto the next stage.
Age Based Demographics
Choose ‘Age Based’ from the dropdown menu.
Simply enter in the minimum age and the maximum age, and the measure of age for an Age Based Demographic.
Note: setting up an ‘Aged Based’ demographic is inclusive of the ages. If 13 year old Susie is about to turn 14, Susie is still inclusive of the 13 year old age group.
Grade Based Demographics
Choose ‘Grade Based’ from the dropdown menu.
Simply enter in the minimum grade and the maximum grade.
Note: Setting up a ‘Grade Based’ demographic is inclusive of the grades. If you have two sub-demographics set for Grade 1 to 3 and Grade 3 to 5, children in Grade 3 will be assigned to both sub-demographics.
Assigning Demographic Progression
Once all the demographic progression settings have been set up, you will need to go back to the Demographics page and click on ‘Assign Demographic Progression’.
After this has been completed, Elvanto will update everybody in your database that has Date of Birth or Grade fields for their user account.
Auto-Assigning Demographic Progression Settings
You can customize whether to automatically apply Demographic Progression when adding or editing people in Elvanto. This can be customized by going to Settings and selecting People.
