Adding transactions into Elvanto is a great way to record giving to your church. In this article, we will cover two ways of adding a transaction into Elvanto.
General Transaction Recording
- Log into Elvanto as an Admin.
- Hover over Financial in the navigation menu.
- Select Transactions.
- Select Add Transaction.
- Select from the Batch drop-down if you would like to create a new batch for this transaction or add this transaction to an existing batch.
- If you would like to add this transaction to an existing batch select the batch you would like to add this transaction to from the drop-down menu.
- Enter a Transaction Date.
- Select if this transaction should be connected to an existing person in Elvanto, add a new person, or none.
- Select the payment Method.
Note: Additional Payment Methods can be added by selecting 'Other' but cannot be edited nor removed. - Enter the Amount.
- Select the Account this transaction should be connected to.
Note: Learn more about Chart of Accounts in Elvanto. - Add a Memo. (Optional)
- Check if this is a Tax Deductible transaction.
Note: The default is set to Tax Deductible. - Select Save or Save & Add Another.
Adding A Transaction to an Existing Batch
- Log into Elvanto as an Admin.
- Hover over Financial in the navigation menu.
- Select Batches.
- Select Add Batch or select the existing Batch you would like to add transaction(s) to.
- Select Add Transaction.
- Enter a Transaction Date.
- Select if this transaction should be connected to an existing person in Elvanto, add a new person, or none.
- Select the payment Method.
Note: Additional Payment Methods can be added by selecting 'Other' but cannot be edited nor removed. - Enter the Amount.
- Select the Account this transaction should be connected to.

- Check if this is a Tax Deductible transaction.
Note: The default is set to Tax Deductible. - Select Save or Save & Add Another.
