Data Migration from Shelby Systems to Elvanto

At Tithely we strive to make data migration as painless as possible. The instructions below will guide you through how to export People and Giving information out of your current Shelby Systems account to be imported into Elvanto.

How to Export People from Shelby Systems

  1. Login to your Shelby account.

  2. Navigate to "Membership" > "Reports" > "Selections and Lists".

  3. Click the wand icon and go through the wizard to create the report.
    Make the following selections:

    a) Call the report "Tithely People"
    b) Select Report Group "General"
    c) Check the "Unsecured" option
    d) Click "Next"
    e) Click "Next"
    f) Check Include "Active", "Inactive", and "Deleted Individuals"
    g) Check Include "Members", "Prospects", and "Misc. Names"

  4. Click Next and Select "Formatted (All)". This will bring up the Formatted Report options window. Make the following selections under Select fields:
    a) If you are importing contributions please include Name ID #
    b) Don't add "Print Custom Information"
    c) Check "Print to File"
    d) Check "Include Field names in first record"

  5. Click 'OK'.

  6. Go through the printing options, check the desired fields.

  7. Select "No", to the question, "Do you have any other report formats to select?"

  8. Click "Next" until you reach the print format options. On the following screens, select:
    a) Print All Profile Comments
    b) Print All Profiles with Description

  9. Once you're back at the main report menu, run the Report (Running Man Icon).


How to Export Giving from Shelby Systems

  1. Login to your Shelby account.

  2. Navigate to "Contributions" > "Reports".

  3. Select the "Contribution List" Report, and make the following selections:

    a) Select Print: "Detail"
    b) Select Sort by: "Name"
    c) Check "Print Contribution Memo"
    d) Check "Print Cash Gifts"
    e) Check "Print Batch Numbers"

  4. Select "File" > "Save As" > "Comma Delimited".
