Data Migration from Roll Call to Elvanto

At Tithely we strive to make data migration as painless as possible. The instructions below will guide you through how to export People, Giving, and Groups information out of your current Roll Call account to be imported into Elvanto.

How to Exporting People from Roll Call

  1. Login to your Roll Call account.

  2. Navigate to "File" > "Export People".

  3. In the Criteria Tab, make the following selections:

    a) Export Type: Custom
    b) Run for: Everyone
    c) Check "Include Deceased"

  4. In the Column Tab, make the following selections:
    a) Select the fields to import
    b) Include "Person No" (this is used to tie contributions to person)
    c) Return by: Individual
    d) Output: "Comma Separated (CSV)"
    e) Check "Include Headers"

  5. In the View Record Tab, make no changes.

  6. Click the "Generate" button.

 

How to Export Giving from Roll Call

  1. Login to your Roll Call account.

  2. Navigate to 'Reports" > "Contributions" > "Contribution Detail".

  3. In the Criteria Tab, make the following selections:

    a) Select the Start and End dates
    b) Run for: Everyone

  4. In the Column Tab, select the following columns:

    a) Donation Date
    b) Last Name
    c) First Name
    d) Donation Type
    e) Check No
    f) Fund
    g) Amount
    h) Person No (used to tie contribution to person)
    i) Remarks
    j) Batch ID

  5. Select Return by: Individual

  6. For the Output section, select the following:
    a) Check "Comma Separated (CSV)"
    b) Check "Include Headers"

  7. In the View Record Tab area, make no changes.

  8. Click the "Generate" button.

Please Note: Rows with no "Person No." belong to the Person No. above, these rows are split transactions.

How to Export Groups from Roll Call

For each group you wish to export, do the following:

  1. Login to your Roll Call account.

  2. Navigate to Groups > Reports.

  3. Select the group. You can leave the Criteria Tab as is.

  4. For the Column Tab you only need first and last name.

  5. For the Output Tab select "Comma Separated (CSV)".

  6. Click "Generate".
