Data Migration from ACS to Elvanto

At Tithely, we strive to make data migration as painless as possible. The instructions below will guide you through how to export People and Giving information from your current ACS account for import into Elvanto.

Exporting Data from ACS

Prior to Export:

  1. Open ACS OnDemand.
  2. Log into OnDemand using your OnDemand Site Login.
  3. Log into the ACS product using your Product Login.
  4. Continue with the export using the instructions below.

How to Export People from ACS

  1. Sign in to your ACS account.
  2. Run a Search.
  3. Click Advanced Export and select Create New Export.
  4. Select File Export then click Next.
  5. Title the export "Tithely Export".
    • a) For the Group Tab, select Include Deactivated Records (If you would like to match up historical giving).
    • b) For the Fields Tab, select Individual ID, Family ID, and Envelope Number, and any additional fields you want exported.
  6. Select the following Format Tab options:
    • a) Select Microsoft Excel.
    • b) Click Filename to choose a location to save the file.
    • c) Click Save and Close.
  7. Click Run Export.

Exporting Extra Addresses from ACS

  1. Sign in to ACS.
  2. Navigate to Searches and Reports and select Reports.
  3. Select People from the drop-down list.
  4. Under People in the upper sidebar, click the arrow to expand the list.
    • a) Select Master Listing of Addresses.
  5. Within the Master List of Addresses Section:
    • a) Select Use Report Setting for Search Results (default is 'Always Use Last Search Results').
    • b) Click Customize from the Master Listing of Addresses.
    • c) Under Report Options, uncheck Filter and select Address Types (Note: There is a maximum of 5, so you may have to run this report more than once to export all the address data).
  6. Run the report.
  7. Click the Print button in the top left of the report and save the file to your computer as a CSV.

How to Export Giving from ACS

  1. Sign in to ACS.
  2. Navigate to the Searches and Reports section and select Reports.
  3. Select Contributions from the drop-down list.
  4. Under Contributions in the upper sidebar, click the arrow to expand the list.
    • a) Select Gift Detail Listing.
  5. Within the Gift Detail Listing section (in the lower sidebar), make the following selections:
    • a) On the General tab, select your date range.
    • b) On the Report Options tab, select your chosen funds and include deactivated people.
    • c) Click Preview.
    • d) Select Use Report Setting for Search Results (default is 'Always Use Last Search Results').
    • e) Select Customize from the Gift Detail Listing section.
  6. Once the report has generated, click the View Report Data icon.
  7. Expand the Export button and export Comma-Separated Values (CSV).
    • Note: The last field in the contribution table will have the family id at the end of it. New versions of ACS will have an individual ID column.
