There may be files you'd like to add to a person's profile in Elvanto for safekeeping and quick reference. We'll guide you through how to add a file to a person's profile, manage the file, and view the Activity log so you can see how the file has been interacted with. Files added to profiles will not show in the Member area.
File Limits
Files uploaded to profiles will not count toward the regular Files area limit of 10GB as these areas are separate.
User Permissions needed to access Elvanto People Files
Super Admin, or an Admin User with access permissions granted to View Profiles, View Activity on Profiles, Manage Files, and Manage Private Files.
- If the status of a file changes from public to private, the visibility of the logged activity for that file changes as well according to what people are allowed to see based on their access permissions.
Attach a File to a Profile
File Requirements
- Titles must be in alphanumeric characters only. Special characters and emojis are not supported at this time.
- Files must be 40 MB and under
- Files uploaded to profiles will not count toward the regular Files area limit of 10GB as these areas are separate.
- Login to your Elvanto account and navigate to the person's profile you're looking to add a file.
- On the left sidebar of the profile, under the Files heading, click the Add button.
- Enter your file details:
- File title
- Set your status to Public or Private
- Upload your file
- When you're done, click Save
Viewing Files on a Profile
Expected Behavior
- Files are listed alphabetically.
- Separate windows/tabs will open for PDF files and pictures.
- A download will happen if the file is a document or movie.
- Files added to profiles will not show in the Member area.
Elvanto Tip
Members are unable to upload files like release forms or other documents through forms. It's advisable for an Admin to collect these documents and then upload them to the members' files.
- Login to your Elvanto account and navigate to the person's profile you're looking to manage a file on.
- On the left sidebar of the profile, you'll find your files under the Files heading.

Editing and Deleting a File on a Profile
You can perform the following edits on files:
- Edit a file name
- Change the status of a file(public/private)
- Delete a file
- Login to your Elvanto account and navigate to the person's profile you're looking to manage a file on.
- On the left sidebar of the profile, you'll find your files under the Files heading.

- To edit the file, click the file name.
To delete the file, click the red trash can icon to the right of the file name.
Caution
Our team can not restore your file once it is deleted.
Viewing Activity Logs
Logged Activity includes:
- Adding the file (with the name entered)
- Public/private status file edits
- Editing the name of the file
- Deleting the file
- Login to your Elvanto account and navigate to the person's profile you're looking to view an activity log for.
- Select the Activity tab on the profile.
