How to set up Online Giving with Pushpay

We have teamed up with Pushpay to bring Online Giving to Elvanto. This guide will walk you through how to set up your account to start accepting giving online.

If you do not have a Pushpay account, the first step is to contact Pushpay to discuss plans and pricing. Their friendly team will guide you through how their system works and how to get started.

For existing Pushpay customers you’ll also have to email Pushpay to let them enable the integration.

When your Pushpay account has been set up, the next step is to link it to your Elvanto account.

Setting up Pushpay in Elvanto

Navigate to the Integrations page (Settings and then select Integrations).

When the page loads you will see the Pushpay logo. Click the ‘Enable Integration’ button.


You will then be provided a Client ID and a Client Secret. You need to copy these into your Pushpay account so we suggest you log into Pushpay from another window or tab.


Configuring Elvanto Settings in Pushpay

After logging into Pushpay navigate to Settings > Integration


Next, click on the ‘Configure Elvanto Integration’ link.


The next page will ask you to provide your Client ID and Shared Secret (Your Shared Secret is the Client Secret given to you in Elvanto).


You will then be asked to log into your Elvanto account once again.


After logging in, you will be asked to give Pushpay access to your Elvanto account.


You will then be redirected back to the Pushpay website. Select the default ‘Account Category’ (Chart of Accounts) for any online giving via Pushpay will be placed under. Next, click the ‘Enable’ button.


You will then receive a message that integration is complete.

That’s it! Any transactions made through your Pushpay account will now be stored within Elvanto. We recommend performing a test to ensure everything is working as expected. Pushpay should be able to assist in this process.
