We allow replies to be sent to any SMS Messages you send out. This is great for accepting or declining whether a volunteer is able to be scheduled on a service. Unfortunately, however, SMS Providers use a random number to send these messages, unless you purchase a dedicated number. Sometimes they can use several numbers, so your recipients can’t even save the number to their phone.
If you are sending out an SMS to recipients that does not require a reply, however, there is a tick box that you can untick that stops replies from being received. If you have set-up a Sender ID in your settings (Settings > Integrations), it will use the Sender ID instead of the random number. So for example if your Sender ID is ‘My Church’, the message will come from the words ‘My Church’. If you have a dedicated number though, your members can add this number to their phone.
