Below is a list of the placeholders that are able for use with Elvanto by default.

Extra placeholders are generated when you add Custom Fields via People Categories, and there are certain other placeholders that can only be used in conjunction with certain email templates. These placeholders will be listed in the settings page, relevant to the email template.

%sender_name% Senders name
%sender_email% Senders Email Address
%full_address% Full address of the recipient
%fullname% Full name of the recipient
%firstname% First name of the recipient.
%preferred_name% Recipients preffered name
%lastname% Last Name
%category_id% ID of the people category the recipient is under.
%gender% Recipients Gender
%birthday% Recipients Birthday
%age% Recipients Age
%marital_status% Recipients Marital Status
%anniversary% Recipients anniversary.
%member_directory_hide% Whether the recipient is shown, hidden, or awaiting approval to show in the member directory
%email% Email address of the recipient
%phone% Phone number of the recipient
%mobile% Mobile number of the recipient
%department_id% Department/s and Sub-Department/s the recipient is a member of. Departments are separated by a semi-colon (;), with Sub-Departments are separated by a comma (,).
%department_positions% The names of the positions the member is assigned to
%department_breakdown% A list of the departments, and positions, the member is assigned to. One line for each position
%service_type_id% The service types the recipient volunteers for
%demographic_id% Demographic the recipient is a member of.
%location_id% The locations the recipient is at.
%group_id% The groups the recipient is a member of
%username% Username for the recipient
%reports_to% The person the recipient reports to, under the users ‘Account’ tab.
%full_mailing_address% The full mailing address of the recipient
%mailing_address% Line 1 of the recipients mailing addresss
%mailing_address2% Line 2 of the recipients mailing addresss
%mailing_city% Recipients Mailing address City
%mailing_state% Recipients mailing address State

%family_primary_spouse% The first and last names of the Primary Contact and Spouse of the recipients family
%family_primary_spouse_firstname% The first names of the Primary Contact and Spouse of the recipients family
%family_members_names% The names of the members of the recipients family
%family_children_names% The names of the children of the recipients family
%school_grade% The recipients school grade
%development_child% True/False for whether the recipient has been marked as a child with development needs
%special_needs_child% True/False for whether the recipient has been marked as a child with special needs
%security_code% The recipients security code for checking into services
%receipt_name% The name the recipient requires on their tax reciepts
%giving_number% The recipients giving number for donations
%login_url% A URL for the user to log in. If they haven’t got a username or password set up, it generates a URL for them to set these before logging in
